Medics have today been monitoring a cetacean in our area (location
witheld). The cetacean - species not yet confirmed was reported as
having a dorsal fin the size of an adult Bottlenose Dolphin,
movements were the same as a BND but the body was very small in
proportion and it was very close to shore.
With light fading, a last directional heading was logged. Medics
will carry out patrols tomorrow.
19/12/07 No signs early morning of our cetacean in the area it
was first spotted - patrols will continue mid afternoon at another 2
locations
Nothing spotted mid afternoon either.......phew! 2 seals
at JPF at 14.00hrs. Thanks to the member of the public for
forwarding sightings to us.
