Two common pups observed tonight by Medic Elaine Roft & Volunteer John Roft with (dog sally). Location withheld. Both pups free swimming before hauling out in a secluded spot (camera in car) typical!!. Both weaned and had excellent body weight.

Medic Willie Taylor has confirmed that our 2 common pups are still in the same location from last night and are in good health. Thanks to Willie for his extended patrol covering this area to check on the pups and to the members of the public (you know who you are) for your vigilance during the daytime. Its much appreciated.

The next Marine Conservation Beach Clean for Johnshaven will take place this Sunday 16th September. All Medics, Volunteers & Helpers wishing to participate please meet at "Seaview" (North end of Johnshaven at 11.00hrs) and report to Medic Rebecca Chambers.

 

 

16/09/07 These seals are monitored by Kevin Wales at a location.

 

A new development this year (for the first time). It was only 5 or 6 years ago when there weren't any seals here at all. Now they are up on the beach, which means I can't walk Gizmo that way when the tide is in. Here are some pictures - It was difficult getting the pictures, they are very alert and horrified to see my face.

Thanks to "Big Brother" who has informed us of five seals in his area every day this week and for forwarding sightings of the dolphins (3 of them heading North). Locations withheld.

 

 

28/09/07 Approx 20 BN Dolphins at Broughty Ferry. Sightings reported by BDMLR Medic (also MVS) Linda Robertson.
