October 2010

After many months of inactivity our call out is, sadly,  to an animal past our help. I was called by head office to attend a reported dead seal in the Arbroath area, after a quick call to Stewart Burns to obtain the exact location I attended a dead seal at Whiting Ness slipway. It was an adult female Grey 1.8 metres long. Her opening was distended so she was more than likely pregnant and could have been the reason behind her death as there were no signs of trauma. Stewart has been notified of the details and will be getting in touch with the local environmental health office, tomorrow, to have the carcass removed.
